What are the functions of VVDI MINI Prog Chip Programmer

 Xhorse has got the first one VVDI MINI Prog Chip Programmer last week to have an overview of the main functions. Now let’s go ahead to see what it actually supports.

Firstly, download the Xhorse app, and go access the VVDI MINI Prog page, press the “Select” button to connect with the device, and choose the language.

Main functions

1. EEPROM and FLASH

VVDI MINI Prog can read EEPROM and flash data from different manufacturers, here we go to select ATMEL >> AT24CXX >> AT24C1024(pressure)

It shows the specific chip, adapter, and pin header suite details which you can use for connecting with VVDI MINI Prog to read and write data directly.

2. Immo

This function supports BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Landrover, Porsche, and Volvo.

BMW >> CAS2+(5M48H)-BACKUP(ADAPTER)

As you have seen, here are the BMW modules that can be read, you’ll find specific information including the operation of adapters and the connection diagram to be used.

3. Instrument 

So far this function supports 3 modules: Honda, Hyundai, and Kia.

4. ECU

You can read the BMW ECU module in this function, select a specific option to find connected information.

How to Upgrade Xhorse VVDI2 Commander Firmware?

For some customers who bought Xhorse VVDI2 commander authorization online will be informed to upgrade firmware. How to upgrade? This post will show the procedure step by step.

First of all, connect VVDI2 with the computer via USB cable, then start the VVDI2 software.

Select “Update Online” to check device information.

You will find some authorizations of the device display “NO”.

Go back to restart VVDI2 software, select “Update Kit”, then click “Find Device”. It will display the SN and version when the device information was read out.

Click “Upgrade”, it will start processing...

Upgrade completed! Click "OK".

Now let’s return back to online update tool to check device information again.

You will find the authorizations are “Yes”.

Upgrade was done.

Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Clone A Ford Key In 2 Mins

Hello there guys, I have recently received this Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max programmer, today I am going to clone a key for Ford Focus to have a try.

Now I am working on the car already, this is the original Ford key, put it into VVDI Key Tool Max coil to detect, press "Transponder Clone".

Read transponder >> Clone >> Start clone

Successful data upload…

Query calculate success…

Remove the original key, and put the blank new key into the coil. The blank new key is a VVDI Super Chip I bought them separately. It is much better than actually using the correct chip, you can use a VVDI chip for pretty much anything.

As you can see, it is cloned and done, press “Complete”.

Let me check if it can work normally. Yes, it works perfectly!. I’m now back to “Transponder Clone” for a check. All right, it has been programmed.

Solved! VVDI MB Tool Can’t Read EIS W210 Password

 “I can’t read the data to get the password with Xhorse VVDI MB BGA Tool on an EIS W210. I have tokens to read and that’s okay. But when the reading was done and I was going to decode the password, the VVDI MB Tool cut me off at the start.” one customer gave feedback with a picture and asked for help.

Customer problem:

I can’t read the data to get the password with Xhorse VVDI MB BGA Tool on an EIS W210. I have tokens to read and that’s okay. But when the reading was done and I was going to decode the password, the VVDI MB Tool cut me off at the start.

Solution:

The data was collected incorrectly, please re-collect again to calculate the key password.

The problem was solved! VVDI MB Tool can read the Mercedes Benz W210 password successfully now.
