VVDI2 + GODIAG Mech-Key Test Platform Read BMW CAS1

GODIAG BMW Mech-Key Test Platform is used for BMW CAS1/CAS2 mechanical key matching, reading, writing, and synchronization without welding. Compatible with most key programmers like Xhorse VVDI2, Key Tool Plus, etc. To program BMW semi-smart keys, we should use the GODIAG Semi Smart Test Platform.


Following we'll show how to read CAS1 data with VVDI2 + GODIAG.

1. Connect GODIAG, VVDI2 & CAS1 module.

2. Press the GODIAG START button to power it on.

3. Connect VVDI2 to the computer.

Open VVDI2 software, 

Key Learn >> CAS/EWS information >> Connect >> Read EEPROM >> OK

Reading data success.

Save the EEPROM file.


Read KM >> OK

The kilometer stored in CAS is 271905km.


Read Code >> OK

CAS code-DME: 3926

All reading success.

Insert the key into the ignition for a test.

The key is NOT ejected, which means key info is synchronized.

Key Learn >> CAS Key Learn >> Connect >> Get key info >> Add key >> OK

We can see the key has occupied the Key7 position.

Save the original key file.

Done.

Xhorse VVDI2 make key for BMW FEM "error ID:9" Solution

Problem:

I could not make the keys to the BMW F15 with Xhorse VVDI2. I must say that there was no access to the car, since it was far away and available only to the BDC and the ISN with ECU.

This version of the SWFL is not supported in the VVDI2 and asks to upgrade the BDC.

However, I was unable to perform a BDC upgrade using E-SYS on a table without a car, error: error ID:9 - Vehicle not in state Pruefen_Analyse_Diagnose / ignition not activated (clamp 15 off). The test platform has an ignition contact in the dashboard connector, closing the contacts in the dashboard connector did nothing (I don't have a dashboard and access to the car)


Has anyone done BDC/FEM programming with E-SYS on a table without a car? What I need for programming BDC/FEM with E-SYS on the table? Connecting the dashboard will allow performing programming?


And the Xhorse makes support for this old version of SWFL, I am silent about the SWFL version after the ISTA 4.28.32 update.

Solution:

Option 1:

Had one FEM from F20 with the exact problem. Usually error: error ID:9 - Vehicle not in state Pruefen_Analyse_Diagnose / ignition not activated (clamp 15 off) means that you need to connect Xhorse ELV to get ignition on for programming with ESYS.


Option 2: Esys require "ignition on" to proceed through programming - this is nothing to do with the ELV. It won't start the process otherwise. Things like CGDI or Yanuhua or something, they are bypassing the requirements going through anyway. When it fails then may be a problem to recover. 

Esys is much more reliable and never fails but won't help you sometimes when AKL.


Option 3: When using ISTA it forces ignition on, and then you can plug in enet cable and flash using e-sys.

This is how I did it a long time ago when playing around with some spare FEMs.

BMW E65 CAS1 Add a Key via Xhorse VVDI2 on Bench

Today I’m going to make a quick demo of how to use Xhorse VVDI2 Programmer to add a key for BMW E65 CAS1 on bench.


Preparation

Connect VVDI2 with BMW CAS1 box and voltmeter according to wiring diagram.

Procedure

Start VVDI2 software on computer, 

BMW >> Prepare dealer key with programmer >> Put new key into programmer, click “OK”

Is the new key have keyless? No


Key make okay and locked. Please use it start the car.

If can not start engine, use “Add key” function add the dealer key to CAS system.

If key can start engine, but keyless not working, please use “Repair keyless key” function.

Click “OK”.


Click “Get key info”.

Add key: you should inset a working key into ignition and correct device with car before continue. Click “Next”.

The dealer key should be taken away from ignition switch. If key is keyless, please move it out of car. If there’s no key in ignition, continue anyway.

Press “OK” to continue.


Please use “Save key info” to save the original key information, press “OK”.


Select a blank key position, key 5. Click “Add key”.

Please put new key into programmer, click “OK”.

How to share id 48 copy from VVDI 2 with VVDI key tool

This post will guide you on how to share id 48 copy from Xhorse VVDI 2 with VVDI key tool.

Here comes the procedure:

Step 1. Please log in the APP with your account, also vvid 2 and vvdi key tool should be linked in the account you have used to log in.

Step 2. Enter the account to share the authorization of ID48 copy from vvdi 2 to vvdi key tool, as shown below:
