VVDI2 Tips Error Key info in Key Dump File When Adding a Key

Question: VVDI2 when adding keys, tips the following error, how can I fix this error info in the key dump file?

Solution:

Deleted all the keys from all slots, and started fresh with new keys.

Now I'm not getting that error When adding a new key, it all works now!

MLB-TOOL Operation

Connect the MLB-TOOL to the computer.

*TIP: Note that the TOP side needs to face upwards.

Put the key on the identification area of MLB-TOOL.

Enter the MLB-TOOL software for operation.

*Note that the original car key has already been connected to the MLB cable. If they are not connected, the original car key must be placed on the identification area, and you need to identify the key.

1. Identification Key >> OK

Refer to the diagram to complete the connection.

2. Collect key data >> Select the method as needed: No OEM key

This calculation will deduct 200 remote points, click OK to continue.

The process does not require on-board collection; the calculation will be automatically performed after completion.

The server calculation is successful!

Please place the key in the device identification area, and click OK for verification.

The collection is completed, please restore the key to its original state.

Click OK to save the server calculation data, which can be used to generate dealer keys and key learning!

3.Make Dealer Key >> Load calculation data file >> Generate dealer keys

VVDI2 Operation

Turn on the ignition switch.

Connect the vehicle to VVDI2, connect VVDI2 and the computer.

Keep the key close to the sensing coil.

Open VVDI2 software,

Audi >> Key learn >> MLB immobilizer system >> Read vehicle information >> Key learning >> Load data file

Learned key number/ total key number: 0/2 -> 1/2

Please put 1 key near the car ignition switch(nearby storage box with key flag), and press OK.

Put the second key near the car ignition switch.

All keys were successfully learned.

Test the new keys. Smart functions of the key can work.

2005 Saab 9-3 add key with VVDI prog and VVDI 2 success

2005 Saab 9-3 failed to add key ( I had correct pin code and working key ) Also tried to write key by dump with Autel IM608 ... to do with CIM with EEPROM clip did not work failed. 

Then, I used the VVDI prog and VVDI 2 success. Was able to program the Pod key and also used an XT27a super chip for testing to emulate an already programmed key slot success as well ...VVDI prog with EEPROM clip adaptor can read-write in-circuit no need to remove EEPROM. Just make sure to a short quartz crystal

Question:

Why short quartz crystal, to not wake processor? short with some tweezers or solder wire, or need to hook up with those two wires on vvdi prog clip, beside an EEPROM clip?

Without crystal shorted get bad read and write... . I short with alligator clip

Solved! Xhorse VVDI2“Select device not found” Update Issue

Problem

Having been reinstalled the driver and restart the computer, but the Xhorse VVDI2 7.0.0 upgrade tool keeps telling “Selected device not found” error. What’s the problem? Please help!

Solution

1. Go to - Control Panel >> System and Security >> Windows Update >> Turn automatic updating on or off >>Never check for updates(not recommended)

2. Right click - Computer >> Properties >> Advanced system settings >> Hardware >> Device installing settings >> No, let me choose what to do >>Never install driver software from Windows Update, and save changes

3. Right-click - Computer >> Manage >> Device Manager >> Universal Serial Bus Controllers >>USB Serial Converter

Uninstall “USB serial converter”, select “Delete the driver software for this device”, click “OK”.

4. Xhorse Upgrade Kit folder >> Driver >> Install “2016-02-02driver.exe”

5. After installation, go to - Device manager >> right-click Ports - USB-to-Serial Converter (COM7)>> Scan for hardware changes

The computer will reinstall the VVDI2 driver automatically, wait for installation until complete.

Now you can restart Xhorse Upgrade Kit to update.

Xhorse VVDI2 VAG Program VW Golf 4 Key (Super Chip)

This post will help you quickly master how to use Xhorse VVDI2 VAG to program VW Golf 4 Key (super chip). Now, let’s read it together.

1. Click the “VW” button>>“Special Function”>>“K-Line Instrument/Immobox”>>“Read EEPROM".

2. Copy Pin code.

3. Click “Autodetect Transponder” to detect the transponder type. Now, we can see that the transponder type is “MEGAMOS 48”. Then choose “VVDI super chip”>>“Set transponder type”.

4. Select the specific transponder type, say, “MEGAMOS 48” from the list, and reset the VVDI super chip.

Audi A8 2007 lost key: done by VVDI2 or AVDI? KD remote needed?

Audi A8 2007 Lost key, 4E to look at
its 3 lit. diesel, the car has prox
function but has normal ignition

Tools to use and test results: 
AVDI: Don't know if avdi can do it, probably yes.
VVDI2: Yes
KD remote: Can be used

Experience with VVDI2 + KD remote:
Kd remotes can be used.
You need to remove kessy module. should be on driver side under mats.
Read eeprom and make dealer key with 7th byte and learn it.
I used Xhorse vvdi2.

A question that comes with it is:
Is the original key and remote are integrated? ie id 46 remote gets programmed at the same time? or is it a manual procedure?

The answer is:
Yes, is id46 in circuit.
Remote will program automatically.
I used touareg key, worked well.
I'm not sure if all a8 are keyless but the one I've done had ignition too.
Ignition will turn on and start when pressing the brake pedal.
Keyless keys 4e are very hard to find.did not found on eBay or China.

In KD app..
Go in "vw Skoda seat". you will find a8, Touareg, Phaeton..
Also you can try Touareg 433 nb multifunction.

One last question:
on right hand drive cars like in uk, is kessy still under the driver seat?

The answer is:
It's On passenger side..
Just have to remove 4 bolts from the seat.5mins job..
