Method 2.Reinstall by computer, and select English language
Method 3.Reupdate and make sure there is no break in communication during update.

 

Good to know:

VVDI Key tool is off-production and replaced by VVDI Mini Key Tool, but they are still releasing updates.

Replace/Program XHORSE ELV emulator with VVDI MB

In case Mercedes Benz W204/ W207/ W212 EIS is damaged, not matter the ESL is damaged or NEC is locked, it’ll require to replace a new ESL emulator.



How to replace Xhorse ELV Emulator with VVDI MB Tool?



l Check ESL

Open the VVDI MB Tool to check ESL.



ESL Tools >> Read ESL data >> Check ESL damage

It’ll show the ESL status.

ESL is locked!(maybe damaged!)And the key can’t turn on the dashboard.

That means the ESL is damaged, you should replace a new one.





l Replace ESL

Replace the damaged simulator with Xhorse ESL Emulator/ VVDI MB Mini ELV Emulator.

(Note: If you can’t open the meter, you can use instrument for the commonly used ones.)



1. Read & save EIS data

Go back to read EIS data.

Reading data success. EIS is normal.



Go to “Erase Password”, click “Get”.

Get its password, then paste to the “Key Password”.

Then save EIS data.





2. Load EIS data

Plug in the analog key to renew ELS.

Then load backup data in MB Tool.





3. Test the ESL

Insert the key to turn on the instrument.

Done!

How to install Xhorse Smart Key Box?

Installation steps:

A power line, HF antenna, LF antenna(long+short) are required.





1. Soldering the circuit board.

• l Soldering the key diagonally;

• l Soldering the cable regardless of polarity;
• l Soldering the original key into Smart Key Box.

2. Key learning.

• l Long press the learning key, wait until indicator lights up to enter the learning mode;
• l Learn the smartphone firstly, then press any key to learn the remote control;
• l Long press the learning key, the indicator goes out to quit the learning mode.

3. Install Xhorse Smart Key Box;

Note: If you only use Bluetooth to control the vehicle, Do Not match more remotes, Do Not install HF and LF antenna.

• l Insert the LF antenna(long) into Port 1;
• l Insert the LF antenna(short) into Port 2;
• l Insert the HF antenna into the HF port;
• l Connect one end of the power supply cable to Smart Key Box.

(Yellow wire: connect to the ACC key power, cannot be omitted.)

(Vbat or earth wire: connect to OBD or Vbat from the fuse box.)





4. Test.

• l Test Keyless enter function;
• l Test smart lock car function, Panic and Open Trunk button are workable.

Xhorse VVDI BMW BIMTool firmware Update Guide

 

The latest version of Xhorse VVDI BMW BIMTool Pro fixed bugs to keep a much stable system than before. So it is recommended to update the new version for longer use. Some users may have problems with BIMTool Pro, that is because they are still using older version.

 

How to update VVDI BMW BIMTool firmware to the latest version?

1.Start BMW BIMTool software, try to open network configuration to connect Internet. If the connection is successful, go to update directly.

Options >> Network coding information

 

2.Update device firmware to the latest version.

 

It doesn’t matter in case the BIMTool device is disconnected, as long as you can open the network configuration, go on to update.

 

Try update if having same “booting” problem

Question: I still have a problem, I can not use the BIMTool device. It is booting.

Yesterday after about 10 times to OBD device start. But when I program BMW device, it lost communication. When I reconnect again, it showed booting. It is unable to boot now.
