Xhorse MLB Tool + VVDI2 Add Audi A4L Smart Key Success

The newly launched Xhorse MLB Tool can support adding keys for Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Bentley, and other MLB vehicle models. It can easily work with VVDI2 or Key Tool Plus. Today we'll show how to use the MLB Tool + VVDI2 to add the Audi A4L smart key.

MLB-TOOL Operation

Connect the MLB-TOOL to the computer.

*TIP: Note that the TOP side needs to face upwards.

Put the key on the identification area of MLB-TOOL.

Enter the MLB-TOOL software for operation.

*Note that the original car key has already been connected to the MLB cable. If they are not connected, the original car key must be placed on the identification area, and you need to identify the key.

1. Identification Key >> OK

Refer to the diagram to complete the connection.

2. Collect key data >> Select the method as needed: No OEM key

This calculation will deduct 200 remote points, click OK to continue.

The process does not require on-board collection; the calculation will be automatically performed after completion.

The server calculation is successful!

Please place the key in the device identification area, and click OK for verification.

The collection is completed, please restore the key to its original state.

Click OK to save the server calculation data, which can be used to generate dealer keys and key learning!

3.Make Dealer Key >> Load calculation data file >> Generate dealer keys

VVDI2 Operation

Turn on the ignition switch.

Connect the vehicle to VVDI2, connect VVDI2 and the computer.

Keep the key close to the sensing coil.

Open VVDI2 software,

Audi >> Key learn >> MLB immobilizer system >> Read vehicle information >> Key learning >> Load data file

Learned key number/ total key number: 0/2 -> 1/2

Please put 1 key near the car ignition switch(nearby storage box with key flag), and press OK.

Put the second key near the car ignition switch.

All keys were successfully learned.

Test the new keys. Smart functions of the key can work.

Done.

Xhorse Condor XC-002 PRO Cut HON66 Key Tutorial

Today we'll discuss cutting a HON66 key with Xhorse Condor XC-002 PRO. Before cutting, always make sure the key-cutting machine is well-calibrated.

Height Level Adjustment

Method 1. 

1)To start, we insert the original key with the help of a guiding block. We will use a shim to ensure the key is well-aligned.

2)Insert the key blank to the right. Now we're ready to begin height level adjustment.

3)Press down the main handle and check the indicator light. So we should just follow the direction of the light and rotate the micro-adjust knob until the middle light turns green.

Method2. 

If you don't have a shim momentarily, there is another method you can apply.

1)To ensure accuracy, we can also use probes of the same specification on both sides.

2)Press down the main handle and rotate it to lock it. And you can utilize the probe and cutter of the machine for key alignment.

3)Replace the cutter and adjust the micro-adjust knob until the middle light turns green.

Okay, now we've finished the height level adjustment of Condor XC-002 PRO.

Preparation

Before we start cutting, we need to take a look at the clamp. There are 3 marked positions at the bottom of the clamp: A, B, and C.

1. Slide in the clamp and make one triangle directs to the line depending on your need.

2. Then turn on the power switch of the cutter and adjust the speed control knob to a suitable speed.

Key Cutting

After getting everything ready, now we can start duplicating the key.

1. Press down the main handle and start cutting.

Now we've finished the one side of the key.

2. Turn off the power switch of the cutter. Clean up the clamp and flip the key.

3. Similarly, align the key and finish the height level adjustment of the other side.

4. Then turn on the switch to cut the key.

*Do not forget to turn off the power when completed.

Now we've finished the cutting and have a new HON66 key.

Xhorse Condor XC-002 PRO Dimple Key Cutting Tutorial

This tutorial introduces how to cut a dimple key with Xhorse Condor XC-002 PRO machine step by step. 

Procedure 

1. Insert The Internal Dimple Probe & Cutter

2. Insert The Keys

Insert the original key and the blank key using a shim.

3. Select Standard Mode

Rotate the knob to standard mode.

4. Finish The Calibration

Press down the handle and finish the calibration. 

Just follow the direction of the light and rotate the micro-adjust knob until the middle light turns green. 

Make sure that the clamp is in the corresponding position.

5. Duplicate The Key

Turn on the cutter switch and press down the main handle to duplicate the key. 

Turn off the switch after finishing one side cutting. 

Flip the key and continue to cut the other side. 

After finishing one side, turn off the switch and clean up.

6. Insert The External Dimple Probe & Cutter

Replace the internal dimple probe and cutter with external ones.

7. Select Dimple Mode

Switch the knob to dimple mode.

8. Insert The Keys

9. Finish The Calibration

Clamp the keys and don't forget to complete the calibration.

10. Duplicate the key

After finishing one side, turn off the switch and clean up. Flip the key and cut the other side.

Now we've got a perfect duplicate by Condor XC-002 PRO Key Cutting Machine.

Let's give it a try, it works perfectly.

(Fixed) VVDI PROG Read NEC3529 Prompts "Adapter invalid"

A few days ago we received a case sharing from a customer about the solution to "VVDI PROG read NEC3529 prompts 'Adapter invalid' ".

Customer's problem: I tried to read the NEC3529 using the XDNP82 adapter and the software still tells me that the adapter is invalid, look at the picture.

all contacts are ok, also on FLMD 3.3V

Later, the customer found the problem himself and successfully solved it:

The adapter does not work at a voltage of 12V.

The voltage on the power supply must be at least 12.5 V.

How to install Xhorse Multi-prog Driver on WIN7

In the previous article, we briefly introduced the Xhorse Multi-prog Programmer. Today, we will guide you on how to install the driver for your Multi-prog device upon receiving it, so you can successfully utilize it.

If you have received the Multi-prog but find that there is no response when connecting to the computer, and the software shows that the device is not connected, don't worry.

This is not a problem with the device. Likely, you haven't installed the driver yet.

If your computer is a WIN10 system, the driver will be installed automatically, so you don't have to worry about it.

However, if your computer is a WIN7 system, we need to install the driver manually.

So today I will show you how to install the driver for Multi-prog manually.

First, connect the device to the computer, then click [Help] on the top of the software interface.

Choose [Install the driver] and there will be a popup.

The device name will be automatically identified here.

If it is blank, it means that the device is not recognized and we need to re-plug the device or change the port until a multi-prog device appears here.

Then click the small arrow to find the CDC driver.

Start the installation.

Okay, we can see that the device status becomes "connected".

Please note that if the installation fails, we need to click [WIN7 Repair Driver] first, and then install the driver again.
